Okay, now that looks like a lot of fun!

  2. Lanelle says:

So much fun! My kids loved doing this when we lived in our townhouse. The mattress surfing was the only reason they missed the stairs when we moved. :) Praying for you with all of the big changes you’ve been going through. I know it sounds trite, but as someone whose been there, lean on the Lord & He will give you peace & joy when there is no earthy reason to have any.

  3. Tina (PeazyT) says:

Who is standing on the railing with you? Stellan?

  4. Tina (PeazyT) says:

And here I thought you were actually sliding the mattress down the stairs, a la Princess Diaries 2. What a lot down!! j/k ;-) Still looks like fun though! Something I may try soon. Did you slide down too??

  5. Sara R says:

Bummer, I was hoping to see a picture of you sliding down the stairs.

  6. Darlene says:

This brings me back to a few summers ago. I was at a friend’s house party and we took wax paper and waxed the steps. We then got on a tabaggon and slid down the stairs and out the front door while doing an airborne dive across the front steps. Can you say we were just a tad crazy. Thank goodness no one got hurt. But, it was fun.

  7. Scott says:

    What fun!

  8. Kathie says:

Glad my kids are not the only ones who “slippy slide”. They only do mattress slippy slide now, last summer they did cooking oil slide….no good. However dawn dish detergent is not only good on dishes, but carpet and 5 year olds hair!

  9. caroline says:

I’m glad to see you are posting less often and hopefully resting and spending time with the kids.

Step back from reacting to negativity or spreading any and you will find your footing again as well as recapture your fan base.

I wish you the very best and look forward to peace and fun for you and yours.

  10. Jill Flory says:

looks like they all had fun!

  11. Reda says:

Oh, Jennifer. I thought it would be a photo of you! Ha, Ha!

  12. Canadian Cathy says:

Wow – those are steep stairs. Is it just a camera angle or is it really that steep? I don’t mean that in a DANGEROUS way, they look like they are having a ball on the soft mattresses. I just love “snooping” in people’s houses. :) I love different layouts and I love the “balcony” railing in the photo! We live in a 2 1/2 story house so we have 3 sets of stairs but they are just 7 steps.

  13. Sara says:

Fun! You’re such an awesome Momma!

  14. Just curious where Roobi and miss Kitty are these days?

  15. Lauren says:

So cute. I would love to do this with my kids!

  16. shari says:

NOT just boys! my daughter was that way, and now, so is her daughter age 2!! I thought those were his feet with the TP and in the railing–also figured it was the issue. We have one that always strips when he is doing his job—don’t know why—just kids!!

Looks like everyone was having fun!

  18. Vinessa says:

Hahaha fun! I remember doing that, even as an adult at my dad and moms! :)

  19. Diana says:

I constantly think…that would be a cute picture of the twins…if they weren’t naked! They are almost 3! :D

  20. Jennifer says:

I love how you let your children have such fun with the small things :) Makes me stop and realize that any moment can be fun if you choose to make it that way!

  21. Liz says:

I love this!! You are making memories with them that will last forever! I remember taking old quilts and going down our stairs! It is so refreshing to see a parent who will let their children have fun!

  22. joni says:

I want to be five again and I want you to be my mom!!!

  23. Judy K. says:

Is it just me? I can’t find Stellan in the mattress pics? Is he always napping? Miss seeing the little tyke!

    Blessings on your household!

He never naps! He did slide but there is, ahem, a reason I did not show any of his antics on my blog. You can, however, see his feet and toes and fingers in some of the shots if you look closely! He was definitely there and most certainly not asleep. :)

      • Christina says:

Is it because he’s a naked bird?!?! My two year old NEVER has is clothes on. Every time I walk out of the room and back in…poof they are off again. So cute and funny!

        • Niecey says:

My three year old is that way too. Little nudist. It’s not pleasant at the dinner table…

        • Jennifer Lee says:

It doesn’t get any better. My 11 year old wants to sit around in his underwear all the time. His 17 year old sister tends to object. LOL! Not sure what it is about boys…I certainly don’t want to sit around in a bra and panties…..:)

      • Amanda H. says:

What is it about little boys and clothes?? Half the time my boys run around in their undies, even in the middle of winter!

        • mckmama77 says:

I have no idea! But I’m glad you can relate. :)

          • Becky B says:

YES! My Granny does NOT understand! It is just a boy thing….my 3 year old would live in his superhero undies if I would let him! :)

        • vicki says:

I can relate too! I have pics of my twins when they were two, outside in their underwear and rubber boots, petting the goats thru the fence, lol.

          • Amanda H. says:

This comment cracks me up because I have twins too and I have a picture of them in rubber boots and underwear when they were about 2 also (no goats however!) :)

          • vicki says:

how old are your boys Amanda? mine are almost 15 now and would be horrified if I pulled that picture out, lol. we dont have goats anymore, we live in the suburbs now, no large property although we are looking again as I cant stand being so close to my neighbors, I’m claustrophobic, lol. I feel too closed in here.
