Whether it’s toting a tot from here to there or snuggling a fussy baby to sleep, babywearing has always been a part of our lives as parents.
Keeping babies close is so important for the bonding between parent and child. Big Mac was a cranky newborn, and I wore him a lot of our necessity. Nuggey spent a lot of time in a sling since I needed my hands free for his 19 month old big brother, and by the time Small Fry was born, I was sold hook, line and sinker on the benefits to both parent and child babywearing provided.
Different slings and wraps (almost all of which I have gotten over the years from Heavenly Hold) are good for different stages of a baby’s life, and MckDaddy and I are both finding the ERGO to be a great fit for Flurry right now. The cute black and white one I have is the Petunia Pickle Bottom organic ERGO baby carrier. The comfortable buckle carrier fits both my husband and me very well, and we can wear Flurry on our front (which I usually prefer) or back (which my husband, yes who is wearing my pink jacket, usually prefers). It can carry babies from newborn (with the newborn insert) all the way up to 45 pound children and even has a hip sit option. The black cover you can see in the photo of MckDaddy and Flurry is what snaps on up over baby’s head if he falls asleep or to protect him from the sun. It’s an awesome carrier.

our baby QUICKLY outgrew the baby bjorn we had and never was a huge fan of the sling. we have a huge backpack carrier that is awesome for hiking but really cumbersome for just being out and about. . .i think this would be perfect!

I read your post about your goats.
My mom raises goats (in the process of building her own dairy) and chickens. She says it’s a lot of hard work but she really enjoys it. She also has a couple donkeys too. I think they’re supposed to keep the coyotes away. Enjoy being a “mommy” to your cute lil “Kids”!
I would LOVE to win this to give to my SIL who just announced that she’s pregnant with her 3rd after 2 (secret) years of trying. Their youngest will be 10 and her oldest will be 14 when she has her son and she’ll be busy with baseball, softball, gymnastics and hockey! This carrier would be a God send for her! Not to mention, her hubby will be in Afghanistan at the time of the birth (he’s gone already and won’t get back until next fall), so she’ll need all the help she can get!!!
