I was just looking at these again. The one of M holding S’s arm really sticks out to me for some reason. I can picture her saying “This is my buddy.” Something about it is so nurturing & sweet about it!
It just struck me as I was looking thru the pictures that Stellan is just playing. I didn’t even think for a minute how sick he had been. Not that I forget his wonderful miracle. But, he is just playing, there are no worries and look how darn healthy he is.
I have a question;) With 5 kids and so many AMAZING photographs..how are you organizing everything?!? I know the blog must be a fabulous resource. But do you have any photoalbums (sleeves, scrapbooked, or digital/shutterfly type)? I think I read once that you have a journal for each child, but does that include pics?
I have 2 year old twins and a baby coming this month (!) and I am trying to get all the ‘big kids’ pics organized before this new little bundle rocks our world. I’d love to hear your tips.
Trina
I’ve been wondering that too. I have a ton of photos I keep organized on my computer in my iPhoto but it just takes up so much space. There is a store near me that does 7 cent prints but I just don’t know what to do with all of them! I scrapbook but I can’t scrap ALL of them haha.
I love the second picture of Stellan with his eyes closed because you can see how thick and long his lashes are, and the fourth picture down of Small Fry is beautiful!
What great photos! I know that was the greatest part about our trip to UMMC last week. Great to see the leaves changing colors. Not quite changing yet in Indiana, but I know it will very soon!
I did a photoshoot last year (you may remember be freaking out about it on the way there as it was my first “official” one) where I had them throw leaves up in the air – it always makes for great fun pictures!!!
T-Boz has the same shirt as Stellan! Kids are adorable as always!
Love these! Absolutely beautiful children and photos! Can you share your settings for these? speed/ap/iso? Or what you think you shot them at? I am learning!
I am still praying for you on Thursdays, but on so many other days too. It seems the Lord is doing something new and I cannot wait to see what it is. I am praying that HE will supply ALL your needs according to His glorious riches in heaven. I am praying for peace in the midst of transition…oh, and life with many small children and a sweet little newbie.:)
Oh, also, LOVE the walmart sticker on Nuggey! My kids love those.
I remember when we bought that skirt together! I’ll have to see if E’s fits her! I LOVE M’s shirt and those pictures are so fun! Can’t wait to see you Thursday! Love you!!!
At first, I though this was titled “Failing”. I’m looking up and down, thinking I missed at what you failed on. And none of these pictures were failing. It’s early in the morning, and I must still be sleepy. Have a great day and God bless!!
Oh boy, am I jealous of all your fall weather! We get beautiful fall weather here in the Pacific Northwest but it hasn’t happened yet. I can’t wait to play in the leaves and eat caramel apples with my kiddos I think our little girls would get along great! They both seem to have a “colorful” sense of style
You’re health and this entire situation is in my prayers. Stay strong Mama
So jealous of that gorgeous weather & leaves, leaves, leaves. I don’t think we will ever be stationed anywhere that has such beautiful changes of the seasons. I was praying it would be like that here in Japan but nope. Praying our next duty station is Washington!
Hi, I just wanted to let you know that I love to read your blog, and that you taught me to take time to enjoy my kids. Maybe it was wrong what you did, but that does not take away from the people you have touched with your stories and sense of humour, and talent for putting things and thoughts down in words. I think you are real, and many people should see that as an example. I really hope that all things will turn out better.
Love the pictures. So much fun and pure joy radiate through them! You photos inspired me to load up my kiddos this week and go play in the leaves at my parents house. They will love it as will I and my hubs.
I love the pictures! The bokeh on some of them reminds of a watercolor painting.
I plan on playing outdoors with my son this week- we were on vacation last week- and getting some good Fall photos. The funny, or not so funny, thing is- my DSLR is being sent to Canon for repairs! Argh! And, I don’t have a backup camera yet. I’ll be getting most of my Fall pics with a point and shoot.
Beautiful pictures!
Soooo… today I read about Blogher ending their contract with you. I am stunned that they have cut you off, and even more stunned that someone would bring such an innocent, insignificant mistake that you made years ago to their attention. After I read your post about all of it I went and took a nap while my little one was napping. I woke up and thought, “Wait. Did I dream about that blog post or was that actually real?” Then I realized that I, indeed, did read it! The whole situation is so stupid that I actually thought I may have dreamt it up!
So sorry it happened. Keep up your good work and God bless.
Thanks for your words, Kelli, but let me clarify that what I did was not innocent or, in my opinion, insignificant. I am not happy about my actions or BlogHer’s, but I am a forgiven sinner who is learning a lot through this.
You know what Jen. Every single person on this earth makes mistakes. I am a sinner. I am not perfect. If all of those people want to come and pick apart my life they would have a field day.
The bottom line is….You are a good person, with good morals. People like you will always be picked apart because people like them just don’t get it!
Stay true to who you are. Which is a….great mom…a wonderful christian. …and a friend that I would love to have IRL.
I will keep you in my prayers. I don’t know if you got your results yet. I know mine took 2 weeks. I know in my heart everything will be ok!
Take care and keep loving those beautiful blue eyed children
Yup! We all can make mistakes. Thats how we grow,we learn from them. My brother is a journalist for a local hometown paper and a new company used his article word for word for their grand opening flyer. He brought it to their attention and never pushed it beyond that as far as lawsuit wise. I’m sure they thought nothing of it at first either when they were making the flyers until the author of the article(my brother) brought it to their attention that they were using his work. Things happen sometimes when we overlook the whole picture. I’m sure that is what happened here as well as with them. They apologized to him and that was the end of it. Don’t be so hard on yourself. Your not the first person nor will you be the last one to have this happen to.
Such wonderful pictures!!! But how on earth do you get your kid’s faces to stay in focus while the leaves are falling. You’ve got such talent! So very sweet:)
Love the fall leaves! Fun! AND I am feeling so cool right now. My daughters have tights (well, did have) that are very similar to Small Fry’s!! I have never been hip a day in my life but maybe I’ll learn. And, I didn’t even get them as hand-me-downs, I picked them myself! LOL
That makes sense. I was wondering why you hadn’t replied to my emails when normally you are pretty quick. How dare Google do such an awful thing like that! ha ha!
I LOVE to see happy pictures after a long day! THANK YOU!!
Do you know that your kids just get cuter every day? I love how the leaves just pop out of the pictures. I need to teach my little one how to throw leaves up in the air – we need some fun pictures like these!
Fall weather is just so much fun!!
Sooo fun, I love ‘playing in the leaves’ shots!! Stellan looks so happy and playful. I love Small Fry’s winking strawberry shirt. They’re all just adorable. Not so fallish here yet (in Canada) believe it or not. Maybe by next weekind we can go out and take some great fall photos!
I was just looking at these again. The one of M holding S’s arm really sticks out to me for some reason. I can picture her saying “This is my buddy.” Something about it is so nurturing & sweet about it!
Beautiful pics. I love the fall colors and especially always loved playing in the raked leaves even today at my ripen age.
Love love love fall photos! Love fall in general actually. The cool, crisp air and all the trees changing colors it’s just so beautiful!
It just struck me as I was looking thru the pictures that Stellan is just playing. I didn’t even think for a minute how sick he had been. Not that I forget his wonderful miracle. But, he is just playing, there are no worries and look how darn healthy he is.

I love Small Fry’s outfit! Where did you get it? These pictures are adorable. I agree, I think your kids are getting cuter every day!
I know all of my comments are not very creative but they are seriously very cute!! I say that all the time..
P.S.- Check your email…
I like your non-creative comments! Oh, and I would check my email…if Google was not down for me!
That makes sense. I was wondering why you hadn’t replied to my emails when normally you are pretty quick. How dare Google do such an awful thing like that! ha ha!
Have a great day!
Beautiful!
So cute! Love all the colors! I remember loving leaves when I was little! Whered Big Mac run away to?
I don’t know! I thought you were supposed to be watching him!
