What’s up with all the question marks? Well, this post is all about questions!!
You know what they say: Ask a silly question, get a silly answer! And ask a blogger a question in the comments of her blog, often get no answer at all! But in a move of thoughtfulness (and maybe, just maybe, because I was in need of a post idea), I decided to answer a few questions I’ve been asked a lot lately. Here goes nothin’!
What curriculum are you using as you homeschool Big Mac?
Oh boy, this is a big question. It’s big because we’re aren’t exactly following a scripted curriculum per se. I had thought we would, but we aren’t. I have another whole post about homeschooling and how we’re doing it in our family coming up soon. But suffice it to say for now that we are using bits and pieces of different curriculums we have fallen in love with.
What we’re using as far as official curriculum for Big Mac is Phonics Road for reading and writing (it’s the beginning levels of Latin Road, where children learn Latin as they learn to read, write and understand the English language), Singapore Math, some Sonlight core curriculum and Rosetta Stone for foreign language (our children are learning German).
Why on earth are you pumping so much?
Great question! There are a few reasons. Most of them stem from the fact that I have a history of a low milk supply.
I want to make sure I have enough breastmilk for MckFlurry now and in the future. I am pumping about one or two times a day. For sure I pump in the morning. Even though he is in bed with us and nurses what feels to me like all night, I feel full in the morning. Because of my history, the last thing I want my body to do is think it needs to make less as what is being made isn’t being used up. So, I pump!
I also never want any milk to be reabsorbed into my body. That stuff is liquid gold for sure! So, I pump after I nurse MckFlurry if I get the feeling there is any left. Sometimes there is, and it’s usually only a little bit. But when I pump it, I know it won’t go to waste and that my body will keep up with production.
I also pump to store for the future. I am hoping that by pumping (and making sure I massage all my milk out each time he eats), I won’t develop a low milk supply like I sadly have before. But, if I do, I want to have milk in the freezer ready for him! Also, every once in a while, I nurse MckFlurry in the late afternoon, at five or six o’clock, and he’s still fussy after I nurse him. I have discovered that at that time of day, his fussiness is because he’s still hungry! This is a great time to pull out a little bag of milk from the freezer. I will let one of our children (or my husband, if he’s home from work, which he typically is not at the time of day) feed him a little bit more. (Uh, please don’t tell the anti-Duggar people that I do this!!)
It’s perfect because they get to bond with him by doing a job they are able to do, MckFlurry gets full and happy, and I get my hands free to get someone’s jammies on, scoop more macaroni and cheese onto someone’s plate or wipe up Elmer’s glue off the floor. Not like that last one happened just this evening or anything.
The last reason I am pumping so much is that I really like the feeling of pumping. Plus, I don’t really have enough to do in my days, so spending 15 minutes here and there gives me something to do. Um, not! And not!
How do you get the colors in your photographs to be so bright!?
There are a few reasons my colors are so bright. For one, we wear lots of bright colored clothing in our family! Also, a few months back, I finally got a really nice UV filter (the one I got is made by Promaster) that I always keep on my lens. Shooting at the golden hour of daylight (I talked about what that is right here) also helps. And lastly, the way I edit my photographs in Lightroom really makes the colors pop. I recently created a new preset that makes my photographs flood with color; I totally love it! Now, instead of changing the saturation of colors, I am playing more with upping the vibrance a lot. I also dial up the brightness. I do boost the saturation of blues and greens individually still.
Where did MckFlurry’s sweater outfit come from?
It, and a lot of our children’s brightly colored clothing, is from Oink Baby. I got this sweater outfit on Ebay, where I find lots of our children’s clothing. Sometimes new, sometimes used, always cheaper than paying full price!
I bought it when Nuggey was a baby. Here he is as a tiny newborn (well, he was 9 pounds at birth) wearing it! This photograph appeared in the second post ever on my blog. And I uploaded the photograph small like that, so I can’t make it bigger, sorry!
Stellan wore it, too. I know there is a picture of him in it on my blog as well, but I couldn’t find it! If you come across it, please let me know…I’ll add it (and props to whoever finds it) to this post! Thanks, Natasha and Laura!!! They found this post where Stellan was wearing the same outfit!!
How do you copy an edit in Lightroom and use it on another photograph?
There are three different ways that I know of to do this.
First, if you create your own edit and love it, you can name it and permanently save it to your list of presets. Just edit a photo the way you like it. Then, click on the + sign right next to where it says presets in your left column. A box will pop up where you can name and save that edit to use again tomorrow and the next day and the day after that!
More commonly, I edit a certain photo, adjusting the light and white balance, and then use that exact edit for the handful of pictures taken in the same light at the same place of the same subject. To do that, edit your photo, then just hit copy beneath the list of presets. Then, go to a different picture. Just hit paste and voila! The second photo will be edited the same as the first!
It happens very rarely, but sometimes I want to select a whole ton of photos and run a certain edit on them. In that case, look at the thumbnails of photographs all along the bottom of your Lightroom screen. Select a photograph that you have edited and then also select as many unedited photos as you want. Do this by clicking on them while holding down the clover key so multiple pictures can be selected simultaneously. Then, hit sync, a button that is on the bottom right hand of your Lightroom screen. The edit you created on the one photograph you worked on will now be applied to all of the pictures you selected. Use this alternative with caution, though. Just because an edit looks fabulous on one photograph does not mean it necessarily will on another!
When are you going to announce the latest Name That Photo contest winner?
Just as soon as I pick the winner! Sorry, I’m lazy. Or busy. Or quite possibly both.
Well, that’s it for now! Hopefully I answered a question you had. If not, feel free to ask me again in the comments of this post. Perhaps I’ll do another question and answer post soon, or just answer your question as a reply right in the comments!

I never thought about using Rosetta Stone for little ones! I’ve failed miserably at keeping up with our German Rosetta Stone (though we live in Austria!), but maybe there’s hope for our son.
)
I have a question about your photographs for you! Do your blurry backgrounds come from a specific lens or an editing software? I recently acquired Lightroom, and I don’t think they have anything to blur backgrounds…am I wrong?
What a wonderful picture of you and MckFlurry. Love the color of your shirt.
I know that you have probably heard this a thousand time but after seeing a slew full of pictures I have got to tell you that your Babes have the most awesome eyes…Awesome!!!
Ohhhhhhhhhh…..this comment of yours about milk supply is hitting home with me today. I had a baby on Sept 1 and we are having quite the time with nursing. I rented the hospital pump (medela, symphony) and am pumping like a mad women after baby eats and only getting about .25 oz per session—-enough at the end of hte day for a bottle. My baby (Oliver) is falling asleep while nursing and drawing out the nursing time for an hour and then still hungry. I am getting so stressed I feel like I am making the milk dry up and all I can do is cry all day about it. I want to do this so bad as it didn’t work with my other two and my family is not much support. If you find any other milk supply foods./supplements or tricks that work, please talk about them! Help a fellow emotional mama of a newborn out! ha! By the way, love your blog and have been following for a long time. We lost two babies to Potter’s syndrome and I was drawn in to your blog when you were pregnant with Stellan. I am so glad you had a miracle outcome. So so glad. I prayed for you and Stellan. Just wanted you to know
I think you are great!
By the way….reading the comment about someone getting 20 OZ OF MILK PER PUMPING SESSION—WOW!! Oh could i just get 1/10 of that?
If Big Mac needs a penpal in Germany, let me know – my son is 4 1/2 (and one daughter 2 3/4 years old and a baby girl due in december).
Liebe Grüße!
Yay!!! I was one of the people to ask (ok, beg) you to tell me your math curriculum. So, THANKS
Quick question (that I don’t know if you’ll have time to answer, BUT) – do you use manipulatives with Singapore and, if so, what and how? I really want to use this math program but I’ve heard it’s very workbook based and doesn’t use manipulatives much at all. I would soooo appreciate any insight you can give as I want my son to ask to do more math, not run from the room crying like I did as a child!
Why German?
I know you speak it, but it seems like a relatively useless foreign language to devote time to. I took four years of high school German and a few semesters in college, and I wish I could have that time back to learn something useful, like Spanish, for example.
That being said, I think any foreign language learning is good for kids. However, there are so many languages I would consider teaching instead of German, especially if you have an excellent program like Rosetta Stone to learn with. Maybe you can learn a new language, too!
I hardly think the wonderful folks in Germany and Austria (and other German speaking places around the globe!) think German is relatively useless!
I LOOOOOOVE German with such a passion. We thought having our children first learn the language that I also know would make the most sense. I have friends in GSE (German Speaking Europe), from former exchange students my family had when I was little to campers I counseled when I worked in Austria to missionary friends that I still keep in contact with….in German. My dad travels to Germany relatively frequently, has written books in German for his work and gives seminars in German. He and my mother have many European friends. We would also love to learn Spanish and Swahili as a family. Regardless of what foreign language one learns first, be it useless or not, I have heard that it is wonderfully beneficial that children learn some language besides their native one early on. The earlier they can master a second language, the more capable they are said to be as they learn their third…and fourth!
I hope that makes sense…and now you know why we chose German!
so fun, my mom speak Swahili but onlu with her sister. She’s born in congo.
But she never want learn to me.
Do you not interesting with french for your children ?
Thanks for the reply. I guess by relatively useless I meant that most people in GSE speak English, and it’s not a very marketable language unless you actually live in GSE.
My brother was a missionary in Bavaria and Austria for several years and my dad is military. We lived in Frankfurt for a few years, which led me to fall in love with the language and culture and learn German in high school and college. I just haven’t had the opportunity to use it in the United States. I think it’s a lovely language, though, and I hope you have a wonderful experience teaching your children.
Ahhh, so fun to hear about your own experience with German!! My own love for it overrides the fact that it’s not so “useful.”
Hi, Jennifer! You are seriously giving me “baby fever” here
. Anyway, I just wanted to chime in on the supply issues. During the course of nursing two babies on demand (my 3 yr-old who was a 32-week preemie and my 23 month-old who is still nursing) I’ve talked to several awesome lactation consultants, and what they taught me about milk supply totally made sense: there is a natural build and decline in milk supply throughout the day. So in the morning you will be very full despite having nursed all night, and in the evening your supply will be lower so your baby will need to nurse more frequently. Honestly, I would quit the pumping and just nurse that lil guy as much as he wants in the afternoon and evenings. In a few days your supply will catch up to his “demand” and nursing him will soothe him in the meantime.
Good luck!
Oh and your breasts will continue to actively make milk as long as there is a stimulus. So you are not actually pumping “leftovers,” your body is just making more milk. Which is one way to build your supply, but nursing will build it faster. I think the afternoon bottle will hurt your supply in the end because your body isn’t making the milk that he needs right then. More frequent nursing in the afternoon, or heck, all day, for a week worked for me.
200% agree
)))) This worked for me.
Please don’t feed babies whilst they are lying flat they are at risk of aspirating especially when the feeder isn’t consentrating. You may want to clean the young boys finger nails too germs are not good for newborns.
Yes b/c the fingers are so obviously inside McFlurry’s mouth. I don’ t know how you made it through parenting your first few children without the help of the interwebs mommies. They know best you know!!
They do know best!!!
Well, perhaps not, as those dirty fingernails that are so obviously not inside MckFlurry’s mouth belong to a little girl, not a little boy!
You can click on the absolutely scrumptious picture of Big Mac and Nuggey and it will get bigger. I love that picture!
I pump for the exact same reasons as you do…plus one: I seem to always (haha, twice anyway) get pregnant when my babies are 6.5 months old, regardless of how much they are nursing (didn’t even have a period last time!). And with pregnancy comes a serious reduction in my milk production. So I want to make sure that this time, if I get pregnant early again, I will have a freezer full of milk to feel my munchkin. If not, I’m more than happy to pass along the milk to a needy mama! I ? MilkShare!
Gah, that “?” was supposed to be a heart.
Do you ever do photo shoots in Austin, Texas?
Oh tiny baby Nuggey and a very young Big Mac.
Cute
If you put Stellan and Flurry together , the picture will be similar but not identical.
Big Mac and Stellan are so different but Lachlan look like baby Nuggey. No?
i had supply issues with my son and it was disheartening to say the least! i found a wonderful company (no, they didn’t pay me to say this
started by a mother like you and me. it’s called motherlove.com. thru research on goat’s rue (actually helps build more milk-producing TISSUE in your breast…used a lot by adoptive moms who want to bf their children, or mothers who’ve had breast reductions). when combined with fenugreek (which helps stimulate milk PRODUCTION), i was able to bf my second without difficulty. loved their product called ‘more milk plus’. i don’t mean to sound as though i’m pushing this product so very hard, it’s just that NOT being able to breastfeed your child when you so desperately want to is heartbreaking. i recommend it to everyone!
lastly, your prolactin levels are lowest in your body in the early evening (when you mentioned lachlan seems fussy/still hungry after feeding), thus the lower supply at that time. you’re not alone in this, so never fear!
love to all!
ps–oatmeal, quinoa, mother’s milk tea are also wonderful galactagogues.
pps–super-producers are my heroes
.
Thank you so much for the awesome info!!!
Ooh, that book I was telling you about has all this kind of info in it! Cool that someone else knows about this stuff too!
I think your photos are beautiful, I am going to have to play around with boosting the color in my photos now. I am also really interested in reading about what you are doing in the homeschooling dept. It is something I have been giving a lot of thought to lately and I am always interested in seeing how others are doing it. I have to admit I am a bit intimidated by the whole thing, but really interested!
Do you have any presets you could share??
Love that pic of nugget!
Pumping 1-2 times a day doesn’t sound like “so much” to me. But maybe that’s because when I went back to work I was pumping 5 times a day.
But in the 12 weeks before I went back to work, I still pumped a couple of times a day to build up a frozen supply before I went back to work. I waited until my baby was 4 weeks old to start pumping. I’m not sure why except I think I must have read somewhere that my body needed to figure out the supply/demand thing before I confused it with adding in the pump. (it was my first baby and I had no idea what I was doing.) With my next child, I am definitely going to start pumping right away…not only to build up a frozen supply but also to relieve engorgement…that was MISERABLE! And who cares if it causes my body to have an “over-supply”…I would welcome that problem!
And just a tip…I drank tons of gatorade and ate oatmeal every day, especially early on, to help increase my supply. Our pediatrician also agreed that those were the only two things that she thought worked. I also took Fenugreek (herbal supplement) when my supply started to decrease around 8-9 months. I couldn’t tell a difference, though.
Pumping right away would not be something I would recommend – the wait 4 weeks is a sound thing to do. If you are engorged and you pump, you just tell your body to make MORE milk, hence making you more engorged. You can pump a little off to relieve engorgement, but not too much as it just perpetuates the cycle.
That’s true…I guess I didn’t think about it making the engorgement worse…YIKES! I was just thinking about the relief!
And I guess it’s also very different if you’re a STAH like McMama so don’t need anyone else to have to feed your baby for you.
I meant a ‘Stay at Home Mama’ … don’t know whhat the abbreviation is … that didn’t look right:o)
good for you for adhering to a pumping schedule. I pumped for almost a year at work but could rarely force myself to do so at home. I was a super producer though (like 20 oz a session) so I never had supply issues, thank goodness. Anyway, good on ya for doing best by your babe.
20 oz a session!?!? Amazingly wonderful!!!!!
haha….i was a “super producer” too and i had NO idea that wasn’t the norm! imagine my surprise when my friends started telling stories of working like crazy just to get three oz….and here i am pumping 15+ AFTER feeding my little one!
I would love to know what is in your camera bag!
I have a question – several times you’ve mentioned the financial study you did with your couples group. Would you mind sharing the name of the study?
i totally remember seeing stellan in that sweater– that’s right when i started reading your blog!!! that’s the first thing i thought when i saw the pic of the six of you (other than how much i loved the pic) – ooh i have always LOVED that sweater! hee, it’s so you. hope you are having a great day!
I just ordered Singapore Math and it is on the way to me. How do you like it so far?
I taught the profoundly gifted for 5 years, and I LOVE Singapore math. It’s the #1 math curriculum I recommend for homeschooling families. I hope you love it- but I am sure you will since I don’t know anyone who has used it who doesn’t!
Oh I’m so excited to hear that!! We are loving it so far.
I got it today. My daughter wanted to start it when we opened the box (and the box was full of a new curriculum of books for other subjects, too). We started it, and I finally had to tell her that we had done enough. LOL Question…do you guys use just the textbooks or do you have the activity books, too?
We have both! Enjoy!
Thanks! I may check into the activity books, too. I get most of my stuff from Sonlight (and love all the reading), but they didn’t have the activity books.
The photo pf you holding MckFlurry is soooo sweet!!! I can’t stop looking at it. What a beautiful little man you have!
Thank you!!
You seem so sure that five childrens is enough for your family.
Are you sure that you don’t want an other baby, not just now but later.
Five is not so much.
My aunt has 8 , when we were children, with my two brothers and i this made 11 and so fun.
And a stupid question but I am curious, the Big Mac hair goes one day to be short?, i imagine Big mac with short hair like Stellan not like Nuggey.
We have planned on having our children close from the beginning. Crazy, probably, but we’re excited. I knew after I concieved, there was a possiblility of drying up so I pumped and pumped and pumped. We still haven’t gotten pregnant but there is a freezer FULL of milk just in case. It’s great when for when the grandparents want to take him for a little bit too. Good for you for planning ahead!!
I was just wondering what kind of breastpump you use? I used a double electric Medela one with my now 17 month old, but ended up pumping too much one time on a trip and getting mastitis. I definitely felt like a cow with all the milk coming out! I was thinking for my next child (who is due in 4 days) I would try out a manual one for occasional use. Do you have any recommendations? I’ve seen several different kinds (Medela, Nuk, Lansinoh) and don’t know which to get!! Thanks!
I was wondering the same thing….what kind of pump do you use? I rented a hospital grade pump with my 2yo because I could not get him to latch on, and I wanted to keep my supply up. Now that he’s in speech therapy and diagnosed with low muscle tone in his lips, the not latching makes much more sense!
Oh, and Erin, we’re due the same day. I’m actually being induced Monday if things don’t happen naturally before then!!! Good luck!
Wow, congrats! I have an appt./sonogram Monday to check things out if nothing happens by then. Good luck to you too, I’ll have to check your blog and see how things are going!
Hmmm…I guess that means I should update my blog, huh? I’ve been a very bad blogger this summer!
Good luck with your u/s Monday!
I have a Medela double electric also, as well as a Avent manual pump. I worked part-time with my first so I was pumping twice a day and used the Medela and loved it. With my second I rarely ever pumped. When he was 10 months old I took a 3-day trip chaperoning for a youth group trip. I took the manual so that I could be more discreet in public restrooms at the waterpark we were going to be at all day. Much to my dismay it was extremely difficult and time consuming. It was really hard to get the right rhythm going and keeping it consistent enough to get anything. It kept losing suction, which defeated the purpose. I ended up doing what i never imagined myself doing, hand-expressing into a cup! Surprisingly this was more effective! I just wanted to warn you before you spent the money that a manual does not always compare to the electric. I would not recommend the Avent at least! Good luck with the birth of your new little one!
I think my ovaries would be tired if I had 19 children.
I love using your Photoshop tips. I used to go wild with the gaussian blur setting because my point and shoot was pathetic.
Yes, I love the bright colors of your photos too! Whenever we get together (?) I feel like you will be vibrant and colorful in person!!
Wow you and that beautiful babe look amazing. You and Macdaddy make super good looking kids.
Thank you, Lia!
I totally hear you on the Duggar thing. I don’t know if I would want 19 plus children but I don’t think anyone should judge. I can understand why they have more though. I have four and always feel a little sad knowing I won’t have more. My daughter is only 4 months old and I am still in love with the idea of having another baby. I am enjoying my children so much – finally I feel those feelings that people talk about. Our life isn’t easy and I am not the best mom but I do love being with them! Thanks for sharing so much of your life. I feel so validated reading your posts!
Thanks for this post! I don’t have time to read through the comments right now, but I have been wondering how your kidney pain and those issues have been? Did they (hopefully) go away after you gave birth?
Hi, haven’t commented in awhile, but thought I would maybe give you a tip that helped me with my low milk supply (I have four children and only with the last baby struggled with low milk supply after a few months). A friend (my midwife) loaned me a book called “Mother Food” and it gives you some ideas on different natural foods and herbs that help build up your milk supply (such as cooked carrots, hummus, the green drink (a smoothie drink you can get in the refrigerator section in some grocery stores–it is loaded with fruits, veggies, algae, and vitamins)…..the book is also loaded with other very interesting ideas and facts on breastfeeding in our culture and other cultures that I never knew about. I just wish I had read it with my first child, it would have helped me a lot more with breastfeeding….I thought I was a pro since I had breastfed all of my babes til they were about 15 mo., but I still learned a lot. Hope it helps you and others alike!
p.s. the green drink tastes wonderful and has 8 servings of fruits and veggies in one bottle….I think you can get smaller bottles at gas stations in the frig section too….these really helped up my milk supply….i just stocked up and kept them handy in the fring?!
This is really random…..I’m assuming your hair is naturally curly. Do any of the kids have any curl to their hair yet? I’m thinking maybe Small Fry did when she was younger, but I don’t recall for sure.
Hi…check out SaraSkinny’s comment and the link she included answers your question. Yes! and with a beautiful photo.
Also I, too, have been wondering about the kidney stone resolution. MckMama??
When she did her live chat she mentioned that her kidney problems were gone!
Thanks Sara!….I just checked back and saw your answer. I haven’t been able to do the live chats (my internet is intermittent-net =o) but I know they are a blast. I am so glad to know that stoic little MckMama is OK now! Love and prayers
Thanks! I was not yet reading MckMama’s blog when Small Fry was that age. Such beautiful curls!
I have a question for your next post like this….
You refer to rest time occasionally. I also have 5 young children. My middle one doesn’t need a nap every day, but she definitely needs some down time. What are you rules for this time? What kinds of activities are they allowed to do? And how long does it last? Thanks!!
P.s. There is another picture of Stellan (I knew I saw a different one at some point) http://mycharmingkids.net/2008/11/not-me-monday-8/ here wearing that adorable outfit.
That’s actually a better picture than the one I found!!!
Haha I like that one too. I always feel like such a stalker when she asks us to find things though!
Have you thought of getting your MSC a dog? Especially Nuggey! I picture a faithful lab following him around on all his animal “adventures”. You have such beautiful land and space for one….you may have already answered this and I missed it!!! Just curious!!
Love you, love your blog!!! Thanks for being such a great breast feeding advocate! I would give my right arm (and probably my left too) to nurse one of my babies just one more time….
Hugs for South Carolina
That stripey sweater outfit is really so cute!
I really considered the Writing Road, it looks so good, but I just didn’t think I could work it on so many different levels with our crew so I never got past the informational dvd
There are so many good choices out there!
Back when I was nursing my babes, someone told me (can’t remeber who now but it is possible that I read it somewhere) to drink enough fluids to make you urinate every hour (during the day anyways). Worked for me, I nursed my 1st one for 17 months and my 2nd for 20 months, and only pumped when I had to be away from baby! And since you don’t seem to have enough to do all day you should be able to fit in an hourly bathroom break right? Have a great night Jennifer!
ps loving all of your rainbow babies!
When are you coming back to Colorado?
Ha! You really got me on the liking to pump thing! I am thinking, “Wait, you LIKE feeling like a cow hooked up to a milking machine!?!”
Oh, the things we do for our babies! We are currently in a struggle to get our third, 3-months-old to take a bottle. I just hate pumping and then dumping after a long struggle gone awry. I usually hold on to it until I must admit that it probably is no longer worth the risk of giving it to him
Hehe, gotcha!!!!
The pumping thing got me too!! I couldn’t believe it and then I realized I’d been a tad bit gullible!
I had a question about little Sam in your sidebar! Do you know if he’s found a family yet? Do you have any updates on him at all? I pray for him every time I see his banner and was just wondering about the little guy.
He doesn’t have a family yet and his grant fund isn’t very big, either. Keep praying!
When I first read this, “The last reason I am pumping so much is that I really like the feeling of pumping.” I thought, man, you are really WEIRD! I hate pumping…oh, she’s kidding. It’s late, I’m slow.
Gotcha!
I think a photography Q&A post would be awesome *hint hint* Things like what lenses you have, where you buy your photo stuff, Where you get your presets etc.
I’m just starting out with my T2i and I’m in love… I have lightroom and photoshop and elements… all that fun stuff. Just working on learning to use it all with the new camera.
Also how the heck do you store all your photos!?
November 25, 2008
My husband is at work tonight so I had some time on my hands.
I am wondering if i have the same problem with low Milk supply…my babe is also fussy at times in the evening……Do you have trouble getting alot of milk when you pump? I tend to get such a small amount it has discouraged me from pumping often…but should I be if it builds up supply??
I do not get a lot when I pump! But I pump a few times and I have enough for a little bottle that I can give to him at his fussy time. It really helps! Makes me wonder if I had been able to feed our others more at that time of day if they’d have been less fussy, too? Who knows!
I nursed on demand so produced what my baby needed… perfect balance for him and me. In fact, I was told that if you used a bottle then you would be more likely to have a lower milk supply even if you had pumped the milk yourself. I don’t know how many time a day (and night) I nursed but it was little and often and never had any problems with bloating / colic or anything … that’s the baby I’m talking about, not me ha ha
)
BUT … where’s his tan gone ? He’s a different colour now from the pics with the beads or is it just because you’re outside ?
Thanks!
I’ll try it and see how he does!
What is a clover key?
There is a clover design on it…it’s usually on your command key.
I think it might only be on Macs.
Whoops! Sorry about that! Do you know how to do it on a PC?
The command key on the mac is the same as the control key on a PC.
I think she’s Mac-speaking. On a pc it’s your control key that you hold down to select a bunch of stuff.
Apparently I didn’t refresh my screen before I posted as the last two comments weren’t there when I did :-/
Just stopped to say hi! Love the editing info. Now to get rid of my old version of Photoshop and move on to Lightroom…I can dream.
Have a great night!
Well hi!!!!
I promise I am not a scary blog stalker but I found the post:
http://mycharmingkids.net/2008/11/were-gonna-need-a-bigger-couch/#comments
I’m pretty sure this is the same outfit.
Oh yes, I forgot about that!!!! He wore it when we had our first family of six photos taken!!!!! Thanks, Natasha! I’m off to add that!!
I know you have answered this before, but I cannot find it or remember
But where do you get the boys sweat pant capri pants??
From Mini Boden! I also get them on Ebay.
Thank you so much!!
I love Oink Baby! Ella has a bright striped top and matching bottoms made by them. And I got it on Ebay!
Really? How cool is that!? Great minds think alike, I guess!
Also cool is that I was first commenter, lol! I think I loaded your blog like 2 seconds after you hit publish…
Thought of a question, since we’re talkin Ebay…
Obviously you hand down the boy clothing… What do you do with Small Fry’s clothes when she outgrows them? Do you have a friend that gets them, or do you resell on the Bay?
I hand them down to my sister to have my niece Raven wear them!
