  27. JS says:

I have been on the verge or stress/frustrated related tears ALL day today. And then I saw this picture and the tears came, and didn’t stop. Thank you for sharing the picture and allowing me to do what I needed to do but triggered by something so beautiful that not only did it bring on tears; that very picture took my breathe away, literally.

I sure hope there are more pictures to come when you are feeling up to it and a bit more rested. I am guessing it’s the natural high that is keeping you going right now.

    Take care of yourself, Jennifer.

How is the kidney stone pain? Did that go away? How is your pain from surgery? Hopefully, not too bad.

    Beautiful, beautiful family!

PS. I love the name you selected for your son (all your children for that matter). All five of your children have unique (in a good way) names. I think it’s great. In 15+ years of teaching grades K-5 and 11 more years (prior to teaching) or babysitting, camp leader, student teaching, etc. I have NEVER had any student named the same as your brood. THAT IS COOL!

  28. Krystyn says:

Yay! So glad you are finally home…and I know all 7 of you are!

  29. Krystal says:

Oh Mckmama that is precious! You could just see the love all over each of their little faces! I think Miss Small Fries was my favorite! You could tell she is the little mama! Welcome home! What a blessing!

I’m getting SERIOUS baby fever from looking at pics. of sweet little L.

Such a lovely family. Congratulations :)

  46. Melanie says:

Welcome Home! I love seeing your family grow and remembering when I was in that stage. (I had 4 in 5 years time.) Savor every moment – it is going to fly by. I now have teenagers and I cannot figure out how that happened. Blessings on you in the days ahead!

  47. Deb says:

Awwww ~ they are just sooo precious!!
SmallFry looks like she’s really going to “mother” her new baby brother a lot = )
Bet they will all have fun showing off their newest brother!!

Enjoy this special time with your newborn as they grow/change so fast ~ just look at how big Stellan seems already!

  48. Marissa says:

Gorgeous kids!! I’m so thrilled the sweet ones love the new wee one! I’m amazed with how much Stellan has grown and he looks different from a year ago and so. I’m so thankful he is around to be a big brother now! As far as who Flurry looks like, it’s difficult to say at the moment. There are times when he looks like Nuggey, others like Small Fry, and yet others like Big Mac. Possibly one of the very first pixs look a bit like Stellan as a newborn. I guess the Flurry will keep us guessing as he grows. :-)

  49. BoHammy says:

I don’t think I have ever seen your kids look so happy! They must be so excited to have mama home, and to be able to snuggle with their baby brother. Reminds me of bringing mine home just four months ago (he is 16+ lbs now. They grow up *way* too fast)… We had a similar hospital stay as you (my son was in the NICU for 7 days w/several breathing & lung issues, then we had to stay an extra day because of jaundice), but with the swine flu going around my big girl (who was just 21 months old) was not even allowed in the hospital. At all. I missed her so much it was torture being away from my baby girl, and hated the fact that brother and sister couldn’t meet right away. … The day we came home was definitely one of the best days of my life, and I can tell this is the same for your family. Congratulations to all seven of you!

    • BoHammy says:

Wow! I kind of rambled a lot. As if you have time too read all of that! heh :)

    • Erin says:

I had the same problem, except I was at one hospital while my little NICU baby was in another hospital and my oldest was at home 15 months old, sick with the stomach flu with daddy, so I hated being away from ALL of them!

      • BoHammy says:

My big girl (21 months old) was very sick at the time, too! We don’t know what she had, but the whole week before our son was born we were in and out of the hospital w/her. My dad flew in from CA to stay w/her, which I was so worried about bc she didn’t know him very well, she had never even been left for a baby sitter (except one time for like an hour, maybe.) My husband drove over an hour to the hospital our son was in every day (I was at the RM house down the street), and then back at night to be with our daughter. It was so hard, on my husband and me… But in the end everything turned out fine. Big girl loved staying w/grandpa & baby boy came home happy and healthy! Crazy how many people have such similar stories, yet when you’re going through it all you can feel very alone and scared.

Hey MckMama. Waiting on some Mama, Daddy, & Baby pictures! :D

  50. Ray says:

Aww! It’s so cute seeing them holding their little brother! They all look so happy and proud!!! :)

  56. PRECIOUS!!! Welcome to the “I have 5 kids” club!! Lol….also, Stellan has grown soooo much! His hair has turned so blonde also! Precious babes I say! Precious babes!!

  57. Shannon says:

I loved every picture of your beautiful children. When I saw Stellan, I was amazed at how grown up he looks. My eyes filled with tears as I was reminded how fervently we prayed for him to be healthy, and here he sits so happy and robust. We serve an awesome God who has blessed you abundantly.

  67. melissa says:

Stellan looks bigger than Small Fry!! I bet they weigh close to the same thing now!!

And you are DEFINITELY not helping the “I wanna nother baby” situation.
I’m definitely baby hungry after seeing all your sweet pictures.

You are BLESSED BLESSED BLESSED. Enjoy every minute, these first few “babymoon” days are always my favorite. I’m sure I don’t have to tell you to take lots of pictures :)

    Congratulations!

  68. errosmom says:

Ohhhhh……you totally captured your children in these pictures. Stellan as the new big boy with his baby brother, Big Mac with his strong arms around his newest little brother, Small Fry glowing with delight, Nuggey tender and sweet; it looks like Lachlan is smiling in that one. Thank you for sharing your happiness.

  69. Jackie Danberg says:

  81. Lynnette says:

I was just looking at your new pictures, and the following conversation ensued:

Evan (age 5, and the oldest): I wish we had that many kids.
Mommy: You think it would be fun to have that many kids?
Evan: Yeah … but not those.
Mommy: You’d want it to still be our kids but two more?
Evan: Yeah. But I think another Evan and another Daddy.
    Mommy: So there’s more boys?
    Evan: Yep.

And then he proceeded to tell me the order of our family members from his favorite to least favorite, which was very enlightening … and possibly disturbing.

Your five look great! Thanks for posting the pictures!

  82. Sara says:
