Are you feeling guilty for pretending not to notice when your child picks their cracker up off the dirt and eats it? Overcome with shame because you shove junk into closets when guests are coming, instead of putting it away properly? Well, don’t be! Not Me! Monday was born out of my desire to admit some of my imperfections and reveal a few moments I’d rather forget. You may find it therapeutic to join in and do the same thing!
I’ll start!
This week, there is no way that Stellan ran around our house in only a diaper, since the weather is now nicer, and tried drinking bubble remnants from the bubble container. I’d never stand for that kind of behavior. Not me!
Also, I did not let Stellan chew on an entire apple instead of cutting it up for him. And, most certainly, I was not changing his diaper the other day, only to find a digested, but fully intact, apple sticker in his dirty diaper! Not me. I always make sure that the stickers are off our fruit before giving any to my children.
So what do you say? Would you like to share what you have not been up to lately? If so, join the Not Me! Monday fun!

lol @ the sticker in the diaper!!!
I once found a sticker (the kind that comes with a calendar to mark important dates and events) come through in my daughter’s dirty diaper. The sticker was still red and still said “golf outing”. Disturbing how resilient that ink must have been…
LOVE your new blog design!!
Nice… reminds me of the time we found colorful poop in the yard because my dog had eaten the kids sidewalk chalk. LOL. Thanks for the linky
a sticker
Crazy
It reminds me of the time I gave Ironman an apple for the first time. We were going for a walk and my sister called my cell as soon as we were on our way. AFter about 10 minutes on the phone, pushing the stroller while Ironman chomped away, he turned back to me and said “All done!” and handed me the stem of the apple. It hadn’t even occurred to me that he’d eat the entire thing, core and all!
This was cute
And it’s nice to be able to admit that it was NOT you! or me!! This was my first time with your Not Me! Monday…I love it
Do you watch Mystery Diagnosis? I have caught a few episodes and one of them happened to be about a child who was having severe intestinal issues. If you watch the show you know it is kind of like a real life House, where it takes the doctor’s forever to figure out what is going on. In this case they ended up removing a good portion of the child’s intestine and the symptoms still persisted. It ended up that a sticker from a fruit had been ingested and was stuck to the lining of the stomach. The body was having some sort of reaction to it which was causing the pain/death of intestine, etc. Never was one to really worry about the stickers until I saw that. Love your Not Me’s…all of them.
What is it with kids wanting to eat/drink things that seem totally disgusting? I totally don’t understand it!
HAHA, that sticker comment cracked me up!! Thanks for the laugh today.
I thought you were going to say “a whole apple seed” instead of sticker. Sticker! Haha!
Thanks for stopping by my site!

Loving This Mom Stuff
stellan sure is super cute!! please forgive me for asking this, but you used to be such a huge supporter of cloth diapering, yet stellan is in a disposable. have you stopped cloth diapering (at least for him)?
Funny Stuff!! Have to say I’ve never found a sticker in a diaper before. That’s a new one, but really great. And a little bit of bubbles won’t kill anyone. Right?
Oh I about died laughing! I love it.
hahahahaha!!!! the sticker in the diaper makes me laugh!
Eek! A couple of those sound familiar, but I’m not fessing up. Nope. Not me! Have a happy Not Me! Monday.

@TweetingMama
The Target brand diapers are so cute with their little blue and green polka dots that I’ve been known to let small children run around in just a diaper more since I switched to Target diapers
The apple sticker craked me up- I give Baby J whole apples all the time, well, ok, he pushes a stool up to the counter, reaches far and pulls the fruit basket to the edge and grabs his own apple (sometimes several a day!) and eats it pretty much entirely… but I don’t know if he’s ever eaten a sticker, lol!
Hahahaha, that’s totally hilarious!!! Love the sticker in the diaper!!! I always worry about that w/my little 18 month old but now that I know it’ll make it’s way through, I’m much more willing to hand him an apple, sticker and all, and let him go to town!!
Lol…it is always interesting what you can find in their diapers! My favorite is the raisins that rehydrate and look like grapes again…like your own little science project!!! Kim
His next dirty diaper might be full of bubbles!
BTW, do I spy a disposable diaper on your dapper little darling???
lol
My friend has 8 kids and she took her 6 month in for a well baby and when they opened the diaper there was a polly pocket shoe. they just looked at each other and laughed. isn’t it funny how much we over look the more kids we have
So funny that you found the digested sticker in his diaper! I handed one of my toddlers a whole one time, thinking they’d just gnaw around the edges, well, I glanced back a few minutes later and the kid had eaten straight through one side, core and all!
When my siblings were in diapers, we let them run around like that when it was hot
In fact, there’s a picture of me at two, only in diapers and rubber boots (we lived on a farm). Good times, good times
