Not Me! Monday is back!!

Can you believe that it has been exactly seven weeks since my last Not Me! Monday post? I hardly can. And, if you don’t know what Not Me! Monday is, then you must be a relative newcomer. If that is the case, let me officially welcome you to my blog. I am glad you are along for the ride!

And, while I have you, let me explain Not Me! Monday.

A long time ago, I wrote this post on my blog. I thought it was funny to
‘fess up about some embarrassing things I’d done that week…by pretending I totally did not actually do them! When I got a great response to that post, with many folks leaving their Not Me’s in the comments, which left me in stitches, I decided to turn my idea into a blog carnival. I have not looked back since. You can read all of my old Not Me! Monday entries here.

And so it’s Not Me! Monday time again after a six week long hospitalization induced hiatus. I hope you enjoy reading my Not Me’s today, and perhaps you’ll write your own! Trust me, it’s great therapy to come clean about how we really live life. And getting the chance to link your blog up on my blog to send my MckTraffic over to your url to read your Not Me’s? Well that’s just the icing on the cake.

Still not sure how this goes? Just sit back and read.

This past week, I most definitely did not use a maxi pad in place of Stellan’s diaper because I had run out while we were on the plane home from Boston. And, even if I would have done that, I certainly wouldn’t have blogged about it. Nope. Not me!

And, even earlier in the week, when I found myself in Stellan’s hospital room needing a pad but this time not having one, I most certainly did not use one of my son’s size 3 diapers for myself until I could get something proper. Never!

And, upon returning home this week and settling into a routine, I most certainly did not attempt to take a shower quickly before Stellan’s home care nurse came the other day because I was fairly certain I was starting to smell. And when the nurse arrived a bit earlier than expected and I was still in the shower, I most certainly did not just throw on my pink bathrobe and answer the door like that, staying in my robe and nothing else during Stellan’s entire visit. That is insane. Who would do that!? Certainly not me!

Do you get the idea? So go ahead, be brutally honest! There is nothing more therapeutic than spilling your beans for all the world to see. Reading everyone else’s posts always makes me feel so much better about my own shortcomings in this adventure called motherhood!

Would you love to join the Not Me! Monday fun? Please read the rules first if you are new to this by either clicking on the Not Me! Monday button in my lower left sidebar, or just right here. There you’ll be able to get the gist and some fool-proof ways to publish your own Not Me! Monday post, as well as learn how to link back to my blog if you don’t already know how.

And to sweeten the pot a little, I am offering a giveaway for today’s carnival. Everyone who writes their own post, links back here to my blog in their own post and signs up with Mr. Linky below (All you have to do is add your name—Please be brief! Long names/titles will be deleted because they throw Mr. Linky’s columns off.–and your url.) will be entered in a drawing to win a delightful hand stamped necklace from Circle of Sentiments.

StarCharmNecklace

The one I have has a little star charm and is sterling silver, but they also come in copper and gold-filled. The giveaway is for one necklace with a few discs…one for each of your children, perhaps? What a perfect gift to give around Mother’s Day! Simple and understated, sentimental and fun. I just dig personalized stuff! If I didn’t already have one, I’d beg my husband. Oh, and also, if I begged. Which I totally don’t. Usually.

So, have fun Not Me-ing! (Can I verb that!?) and good luck! I’ll announce the winner of the drawing when Monday is all over and done with!
