Things weren’t abundantly clear to me last night, but hearing your votes has helped me to make my decision: “I gotta work on my dismount.” Are you kidding me? Look at the photo while you read the title. There is no going back. We have a winner, folks. Congrats, Smith family! Email me your mailing address, okay?
Coming in tied for a very close second were “Half-and-Half” and “I know Stellan’s two extra points are in here somewhere.”

After a very busy day yesterday, we are recovering by spending the morning at home. While Small Fry crawls in the grass, Big Mac works on reassembling* the patio and MckNugget practices his football skills, I am sitting in the now righted green Adirondack chair uploading photographs from the orchard late yesterday.
*Or so he says. It looks a lot like disassembling to me.
Here are some of my favorites from the orchard, which is only 5 minutes from our house and I had never discovered it before!!! (We’ve only lived here a year and I have MSC, so give me a break, okay? But now that we have found it, we’ll definitely be back!)
Small Fry will pull up on any and everything in sight. Here she is in the hay ride wagon. It was not moving, don’t worry.
MckNugget likes to pull up, too! The boys climbed up the interior of this big old silo structure!
This is why we really went to the orchard, although we didn’t really spend too much time with the apples! What with a huge haystack to climb on, a wooden train to play make believe in and a barn full of animals with goats who lived on the roof, there was plenty of other stuff to do!
Nuggey’s least favorite part about the orchard? All the bees flying around. He was downright beside himself and I can’t say I blamed him.
Two of our little pumpkins. (Their shirts are actually different sizes, but this photograph makes it easy to see that they can now share clothing quite easily.)
Catching little frogs (toads?) was high on the priority list for the boys.
Pretty close to Christmas card material. Except that by Christmas, this won’t be a photograph of all of our children! Crazy.
I totally wasn’t kidding when I Twittered that we were lost in the corn maze last night. That corn was dense and tall! It was after 6 pm and we could not find our way out!!
Thankfully, my sister eventually found the entrance again, so we just went back that way and were able to make it home, after buying a cup of apple cider, an apple pie and one caramel that the boys split.
We got home only 15 hours ago. Please don’t ask how much of the apple pie is left.
